R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is a special milestone, 
and Jack and Yvonne Scarbrough of Midland observed this momentous 
occasion on February 4, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, To commemorate their 50 years of marriage, the 
loving couple were honored by their friends and family with a 
reception at First Christian Church, where they were wed, and a 
dinner hosted by their son, Brian; and
	WHEREAS, Longtime residents of Midland, Mr. and Mrs. 
Scarbrough have shared five decades of love and affection, while 
enjoying many happy times with their son and their network of dear 
friends; Mr. Scarbrough worked for Monsanto Company and Midland 
College, from which he retired in 1995 after 22 years of service, 
and his wife has been employed with Charles Priddy for 40 years; and
	WHEREAS, The Scarbroughs and their enduring union remain an 
inspiration to their loved ones, and it is a pleasure to formally 
recognize this memorable event; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Jack and Yvonne Scarbrough on their 
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Scarbrough as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
