R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, During the 79th Legislative Session, Juretha 
Phillips ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of 
State Representative Yvonne Davis; and
	WHEREAS, A participant in the Mountain View College 
Internship Program of Dallas, Ms. Phillips will graduate from 
Mountain View College in May 2005 with an associate of science 
degree in social work and a minor in Spanish; after graduation, she 
plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in social work at The University 
of Texas at Arlington; and
	WHEREAS, During her internship, this noteworthy young Texan 
has had the opportunity to contribute to the workings of state 
government firsthand; in addition to enhancing her knowledge of the 
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star 
State, she has gained valuable work experience in the field of 
public service; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Phillips has performed her duties as a 
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed 
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend Juretha Phillips for her service as a 
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne 
Davis and extend to her warmest best wishes for great success in all 
her future endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Phillips as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
