R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with loving moments and 
meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and friends of 
Quock Foo "Tommy" Hom, who passed away on February 28, 2005, at the 
age of 83; and
	WHEREAS, A loyal and beloved husband, father, grandfather, 
and great-grandfather, Mr. Hom was a commendable family man and 
friend to many, and he will long be remembered for his strength of 
character; and
	WHEREAS, Tommy Hom was an inspiration to all who were 
privileged to know him, and although he will be greatly missed, his 
memory will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he so 
richly blessed with his friendship; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Quock Foo 
"Tommy" Hom and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his 
family: to his wife of 56 years, Helen Hom; to his children, David 
Hom and his wife, Janet, Dr. Gary Hom and his wife, Karen, Priscilla 
Lou and her husband, Mitchell, and Teresa Lau and her husband, 
Henry; to his grandchildren, Ian McLellan and his wife, Jamie, 
Kevin, Adam, and Andrew Hom, and Katharine, Kristen, and Joseph 
Lau; to his great-grandchildren, Taylor and Shane McLellan; and to 
his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Quock Foo 
"Tommy" Hom.
