R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Friendswood Chamber of 
Commerce has helped to maintain a high quality of life for local 
residents while promoting positive economic growth for the 
community; and
	WHEREAS, The chamber is composed of businesses, 
professionals, and other citizens who are dedicated to the 
continual betterment of their community, and their voluntary 
efforts toward this end reflect the city's tremendous civic pride; 
and
	WHEREAS, By offering vital information to travelers, new 
arrivals, and businesspeople seeking to relocate to the Friendswood 
area, the chamber serves as an invaluable resource to those 
visiting as well as those facing the challenging transition of 
putting down roots in a new town; moreover, in pursuing its stated 
mission of fostering opportunity for development, growth, and 
success in the business community, the chamber strives to ensure 
that Friendswood remains an inviting, dynamic environment in which 
to conduct business, providing greater opportunities for all; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce and 
extend to its members sincere best wishes for continued success.
