R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The members of Singing Hills Baptist Church of 
Dallas celebrated the dedication and grand opening of their Family 
Life Center on February 26, 2005, and this milestone provides an apt 
time to recognize this venerable institution for its many good 
works; and
	WHEREAS, Founded in 1984 by the Reverend Dr. Howard E. 
Anderson, Sr., who continues to serve as its pastor, the church has 
experienced tremendous success throughout the past two decades, 
growing from a congregation of 24 charter members to more than 2,400 
today;  and
	WHEREAS, Singing Hills Baptist Church is currently involved 
in 55 ministries, and some of the membership's noteworthy 
accomplishments include helping to organize and support 12 
churches, as well as completing several building projects in 
addition to the new Family Life Center; and
	WHEREAS, Playing a vital role in their community, the 
parishioners of Singing Hills Baptist Church remain steadfast in 
their faith and in their service to others, and it is a pleasure to 
join them in celebrating the opening of their new center; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of Singing Hills 
Baptist Church on the grand opening of their Family Life Center and 
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success with their 
important work; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
