R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the communication department of the Socorro Independent School District received an array of awards at the Texas School Public Relations Association convention held in March 2005, bringing great credit to themselves and to their community; and WHEREAS, Through its fine work, the Socorro ISD communication department has demonstrated exceptional ability in keeping with the mission of TSPRA, which is dedicated to the positive promotion of public schools through effective communications; and WHEREAS, Impressing judges with the quality of their publications, the Socorro group earned eight Gold Star and four Silver Star awards and a Best of Category Award in areas including writing, photography, image identity, and graphic design; and WHEREAS, The communication staff at Socorro ISD has shown exceptional talent, creativity, and commitment, and their accomplishments serve as an inspiring example to school public relations professionals across the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate all those individuals associated with the Socorro ISD communication department on their honors received at the Texas School Public Relations Association convention and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the department as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
