R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kym Victoria Jackson of The Woodlands has been crowned Mrs. Texas 2005, and she will undoubtedly represent her fellow citizens with dignity and grace in the Mrs. United America pageant on October 9, 2005, in Austin; and WHEREAS, Selected from a group of lovely and talented contestants, Mrs. Jackson earned her title not only for her beauty but also for her dedication to her family and community; and WHEREAS, This notable woman is a graduate of Texas Southern University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in fashion and fine arts; she is active in her church and further lends her time and talents to benefit the National Cancer Society; and WHEREAS, Above all else, Mrs. Jackson is devoted to her husband, Willard, and children, Willard Vernon, Blake Lee, and Chauncey, whom she nurtures with tenderness, warmth, and insight; and WHEREAS, With her grace, intelligence, and charm, Kym Jackson will undoubtedly provide exemplary representation for our state during her year-long reign as Mrs. Texas, and it is a great privilege to join in honoring her for this noteworthy achievement; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Kym Victoria Jackson on earning the title of Mrs. Texas 2005 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Jackson as an expression of high regard from the Texas House of Representatives.
