R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Honorable Joe Spurlock, a former member of the Texas House of Representatives, is a highly respected adjunct professor at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth; and WHEREAS, Professor Spurlock teaches a law and legislation class at Texas Wesleyan, and to enhance the education experience, he would like his class to engage in a mock debate, in the house chamber; and WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives supports the goal of encouraging Texans to learn more about the legislative process and has adopted rules that allow for such meritorious activities; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, in accordance with the house rules of procedure and policies of the House Administration Committee, hereby grant permission to Professor Joe Spurlock and his law and legislation class from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth to use the chamber of the house in the State Capitol on April 9, 2005, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, unless the Texas House of Representatives is in session at that time.
