R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends deeply mourn the untimely passing of Michael Stanislav of Waco on March 21, 2005, at the age of 51; and WHEREAS, Born on March 22, 1953, in Waco, he was an alumnus of West High School and pursued his higher education at Hill College, Texas A&M University, and Stephen F. Austin State University, where he completed a bachelor's degree in business administration; and WHEREAS, Mr. Stanislav was most recently employed in sales with Dealers Electrical Supply Company and had previously worked for ATCO International, Solar King, Watson Electric, and K&E Electric; and WHEREAS, He married the love of his life, Karen Marak, on February 12, 1977, in Abbott, and with her enjoyed an enduring union that was blessed with two sons, Scott and Kyle; and WHEREAS, Mr. Stanislav took great pride in his sons and their accomplishments, cheering them on at their games and coaching baseball, his favorite sport, for the Lake Air Little League, the Lacy Lakeview Little League, and West Youth Baseball; he further contributed to his community through his membership in the Knights of Columbus of West, KJT No. 31, and St. Louis Catholic Church; in his leisure time, Mr. Stanislav enjoyed dogs and was an avid viewer of the History Channel; and WHEREAS, Michael Stanislav brought joy to countless people during his lifetime, and he will long be fondly remembered in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life and accomplishments of Michael Stanislav and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Karen Stanislav; to his sons, Scott and Kyle Stanislav; to his parents, Jerry and Estelle Stanislav; to his mother-in-law, Agnes Marak; to his siblings and their spouses, Jerry Wayne and Tina Stanislav and Jeanie and Jim Maguire; to his brother-in-law, Ronnie Marak, and his wife, Karen, and his sister-in-law, Diane Kallus, and her husband, Stephen; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michael Stanislav.
