R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, March 8, 2005, was a day of special significance in
the lives of Janie and Troy Brown of Longview, for on that day they
became the proud parents of an adorable baby daughter, Emma Grace
Brown; and
WHEREAS, This charming beauty weighed nine pounds, two
ounces, and measured 20-1/2 inches in length when she was born at
5:29 p.m. in Longview; and
WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning
personality, Emma Grace has already captured the hearts of her
parents and many new admirers; her long-awaited arrival has
delighted her parents, as well as her grandparents, Jim and Mary
Brown of Jacksonville and Cliff and Becky Lasseter of Tyler; and
WHEREAS, The birth of a child is always a momentous event, and
it is truly a pleasure to formally recognize Emma Grace's birth and
to honor her proud parents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby officially welcome Emma Grace Brown as a new
citizen of Texas and extend heartfelt congratulations to Janie and
Troy Brown on the birth of their cherished daughter; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Emma Grace and her parents as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
