H.R. No. 1023



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Dean and Frances Penick of Midland recently 
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a memorable trip to 
Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Penick and the former Frances Blackwell were 
united in matrimony on February 23, 1945, in Okemah, Oklahoma; 
their long and happy union has been blessed with a son, Jerry, and 
his wife, Carla, and through the years their close-knit family has 
grown to include four grandchildren, Lindy, Cameron, Kellen, and 
Jesslyn; and
	WHEREAS, Respected residents of Midland since 1958, the 
couple owned and operated Penick Casing Pulling, and Mr. Penick is a 
valued member of the Masonic Lodge; and
	WHEREAS, For more than half a century, Dean and Frances 
Penick have enjoyed a strong and lasting union based on love, trust, 
and mutual respect, and it is indeed a pleasure to pay tribute to 
this devoted couple at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Dean and Frances Penick on their 
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Penick as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
