                                                                  H.R. No. 1025



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on March 12, 2005, Homer and Theresa Lowe marked 
this momentous occasion in their long and happy union; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Lowe and the former Theresa Lowry were married 
at the First Baptist Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on March 12, 
1945; over the past six decades, they have been blessed with a 
family that includes three children, the Reverend J. Allen Lowe, 
Rebekah Teinert, and Lavonya Friday, seven grandchildren, and eight 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Lowe retired as a firefighter with the Midland 
Fire Department, while his wife has been a devoted wife and 
homemaker throughout their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Active in the Midland community, he is a member of 
Masonic Lodge No. 623 and she enjoys participation in the Order of 
the Eastern Star No. 253; the Lowes are also valued congregants of 
the local First Baptist Church; and
	WHEREAS, The enduring union of this loving couple remains a 
source of inspiration and joy to the family and friends with whom 
they have shared their lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Homer and Theresa Lowe on the 
joyous occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Lowes as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
