R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Stephen Richard Weatherholtz of Boy Scouts of 
America Venturing Team and Crew 685 of San Antonio has attained the 
rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special 
recognition; and
	WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant 
honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting 
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, 
Mr. Weatherholtz earned the requisite 21 merit badges, including 
those requiring expertise in such diverse areas as citizenship, 
environmental science, and orienteering; moreover he successfully 
completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and
	WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Marvin and Bretta 
Weatherholtz, this fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding 
leadership ability throughout his scouting career; in addition to 
earning the Arrow of Light Award, he has served his fellow scouts as 
venture crew secretary and venture crew president, winning their 
respect and admiration as he worked toward the highest rank that 
scouting offers; and
	WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Weatherholtz's dedication to excellence 
and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him 
worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and it is most appropriate 
that he be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Stephen Richard Weatherholtz on 
becoming an Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for 
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Weatherholtz as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
