R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ameen Hadi Al-Bahloly of Boy Scouts of America Troop
17 in San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting
movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria,
Mr. Al-Bahloly earned the requisite 21 merit badges, including
those requiring expertise in such diverse areas as citizenship,
wilderness survival, and computers; moreover, he successfully
completed an Eagle Scout project of lasting benefit to his
community; and
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Mabkhoot and Karen
Al-Bahloly, this fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
leadership ability throughout his scouting career; in addition to
earning the Arrow of Light award, he has served his fellow scouts as
assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader, winning
the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward
the highest rank that scouting offers; and
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Al-Bahloly's dedication to excellence
and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him
worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and it is most appropriate
that he be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ameen Hadi Al-Bahloly on becoming
an Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Al-Bahloly as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
