                                                                  H.R. No. 1086



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Those Texans who practice the proud trade of 
journalism in the pursuit of truth and justice are truly deserving 
of special recognition, and the distinguished career of Marce 
Galaviz has secured his stature as a reporter and broadcaster of 
note; and
	WHEREAS, An El Paso native, Mr. Galaviz attended Cathedral 
High School before embarking on his media career, which included 
work as an investigative reporter for television station KVIA in 
the 1970s and 1980s and, more recently, for KINT; he also worked as 
a court reporter and for a private security company; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Galaviz is now well known to several generations 
of El Pasoans as a tireless voice lifted in behalf of the greater 
good, and the many accomplishments in his past only point to further 
triumphs in his future; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Marce Galaviz for his many contributions 
to the community and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued 
success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Galaviz as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
