R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The hard work and perseverance of Megan Connor, a 
member of the 4-H Club in El Paso, earned her a top honor and cash 
prize at the prestigious Houston Livestock Show; and
	WHEREAS, An eighth-grader at Salvador H. Sanchez Middle 
School in Socorro, Ms. Connor placed first in the Charolais steer 
division out of 78 entries in the class; her exceptional showing at 
Texas' largest livestock show gave this notable young Texan a 
$10,000 payday; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Connor's dedication to excellence is 
commendable, and she is most deserving of special recognition; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Megan Connor on placing first in 
the Charolais steer division at the Houston Livestock Show and 
extend to her warmest best wishes for future success; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Connor as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
