H.R. No. 1095



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Malena Field, human resources director of the El 
Paso Times, has been appointed to the newspaper's editorial board, 
a distinguished honor worthy of special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, An active community volunteer, Ms. Field has worked 
for the newspaper for eight years, while continuously working in 
behalf of her community and addressing regional challenges and 
opportunities; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed woman is a member of Rotary, the Rio 
Grande Cancer Foundation, the Executive Forum, Latinas 100, and the 
Society for Human Resources Management; her unique perspective 
brings a new voice to the editorial board, which addresses the 
concerns of readers and residents alike; and
	WHEREAS, The strength and vitality of our communities depend 
on individuals like Malena Field, who has earned the respect and 
admiration of the citizens of El Paso for her work in their behalf; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Malena Field for her appointment to 
the editorial board of the El Paso Times and extend to her sincere 
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Field as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
