R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The well-being of the citizens of Texas depends on 
economic prosperity throughout the state, and independent, 
family-owned businesses that employ Texans and contribute to local 
economies are important components of a prosperous future; and
	WHEREAS, Founded in 1984, Fast Lube, Inc., of El Paso, owned 
and operated by the Marquez family, is a small business that 
provides vehicle service, maintenance, and inspection; and
	WHEREAS, Fast Lube, Inc., contributes to the quality of life 
for residents of El Paso through its commitment to responsible 
business practices, and the Marquez family and all those associated 
with the business merit special recognition for their achievements; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend the Marquez family and the staff of Fast 
Lube for their hard work and determination that have sustained a 
successful business for more than 20 years; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Marquez family as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
