H.R. No. 1106
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jessica Corral of El Paso, the daughter of proud
parents Emilio and Olga Corral, has completed a successful academic
career, and her achievements truly merit special recognition; and
WHEREAS, While growing up in El Paso, Ms. Corral excelled in
both athletics and academics; she played soccer, basketball, and
golf and participated in her mother's flamenco dance group; in
addition, she ably maintained the demanding study schedule required
to take advanced placement classes and compete in Odyssey of the
Mind; and
WHEREAS, After high school, Ms. Corral graduated from The
University of Texas at El Paso in metals and materials engineering,
and she earned her master's degree in metals and materials
engineering from the University of Nevada at Reno; recently, Ms.
Corral was hired as a project management engineer by NASA; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating a commitment to excellence and
persistence through countless hours of study, Ms. Corral has set
herself upon a bright and rewarding career path, and she is indeed a
source of tremendous pride to her family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Jessica Corral for her academic
achievements and extend to her best wishes for continued success;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Corral as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
