R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic school has educated generations of El Paso residents, and this notable institution is truly worthy of recognition; and WHEREAS, Opened nearly a century ago, Mount Carmel has been considered by many in the community to be a family tradition and a way of life; mothers and daughters, fathers and sons have taken pride in the superior education they have received within the 12-classroom facility and passed on the experiences and opportunities to their own children; and WHEREAS, Under the astute guidance of principal Roger Parks, the school has fostered an intimate and supportive learning environment that has been a blessing in the lives of countless young Texans; and WHEREAS, It is a pleasure to honor the outstanding efforts of Mount Carmel and to commend the dedicated faculty, staff, and extended family of this exceptional school at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby honor Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic school for 87 years of service to the El Paso community and extend sincere best wishes to all those associated with the institution; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the administration, faculty, and staff of the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
