H.R. No. 1108



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Carlos Portillo, Jr., of El Paso, a fourth-grade 
student at Clardy Elementary School, has been on the A-B Honor Roll 
since second grade, and this school year he has made straight A's 
and been recognized as a top accelerated reader for his grade level; 
and
	WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Carlos and Elma Portillo, 
young Mr. Portillo is a member of the student council, where he ably 
represents his fourth-grade classmates; and
	WHEREAS, The skills that he is learning now will benefit Mr. 
Portillo and his community in the years to come, and it is 
appropriate to take this opportunity to recognize this notable 
Texan for his scholastic achievements; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Carlos Portillo, Jr., for his 
academic accomplishments and extend to him sincere best wishes for 
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Portillo as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
