R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, July 9, 2004, was indeed a special day for Kimberly Mikus Faust and Robert Ray Faust, Jr., for it marked the occasion of the birth of their darling baby boy, Caden Robert Faust; and WHEREAS, Caden weighed in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and measured 19-1/4 inches in length when born at St. David's Hospital in Austin; and WHEREAS, Pronounced a perfect baby by the attending physician, Dr. Chris Wilson, this handsome brown-haired, blue-eyed lad has impressed his family and admirers with his healthy appetite, strength, and sweet dimpled smile; alert and bright-eyed, he already understands that he is the center of deserved attention; and WHEREAS, Following a long-standing tradition, Caden Robert Faust was named after his father, Robert Ray Faust, Jr., his two grandfathers, Robert Ray Faust and Donald Robert Mikus, and his great-grandfather, Robert Holmberg; and WHEREAS, Caden's loving mother, Kimberly, is head of the business, career, and technology department at John Connally High School in Pflugerville, while his proud father, Ray, owns Ray Faust Painting; and WHEREAS, The arrival of this first grandson was eagerly awaited by grandparents Pauline and Donald Mikus of Round Rock and Gay and Bobby Faust of Pflugerville, whose loving support will further enrich his life; and WHEREAS, Caden joins his big sister, Konner Mikus Faust, in the family, and Konner is looking forward to many happy times playing with her little brother; and WHEREAS, With such a blessed beginning, it is easy to foresee a bright future for Caden, who may one day follow in the footsteps of his dad and grandfather in the family business; and WHEREAS, Texas is fortunate to have this fourth-generation native son as a citizen, just as he is most blessed to have a warm and caring family to cherish and nurture him, and it is truly a pleasure to join the many others who have delighted in welcoming him into the world; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Kimberly and Ray Faust on the birth of their son, Caden Robert Faust, and extend sincere best wishes to them for happiness and success in the years to come; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Fausts as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
