R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Laura Perales of El Paso has achieved excellence in 
the sport of softball, and her dedication to the sport has earned 
her an athletic scholarship to Odessa College; and
	WHEREAS, The starting catcher on the Eastwood High School 
softball team for the past four years, this exceptional 
student-athlete has played on five city league teams and earned 
all-city honors at Eastwood the past two seasons; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Perales has demonstrated the powerful arm, 
quickness, and leadership skills of a true champion, and her 
accomplishments are an apt reflection of her commitment to 
excellence and hard work; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Laura Perales for her achievements 
in the sport of softball and extend to her warmest best wishes for 
continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Perales as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
