H.R. No. 1146



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Grapevine Faith Christian boys basketball team 
has earned an impressive new trophy for the school and has secured a 
place in the annals of high school sports; and
	WHEREAS, The Grapevine team fended off a late game rally by 
Watauga Harvest Christian to post a 55-49 victory and claim the 
coveted TAPPS 3A state championship title; Rick Morrison and Ryan 
Brattlof led the way with 11 points, with Dan Hutchins adding 10, 
Joe Ezzell scoring eight, and Doug Hutchings pouring in seven; and
	WHEREAS, These outstanding student-athletes have 
demonstrated the commitment to excellence and physical stamina of 
true champions, and they are a source of tremendous pride to their 
family and friends; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate the Grapevine Faith Christian boys 
basketball team for winning the TAPPS Class 3A state championship 
and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
