R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with loving moments and joyful times may comfort the family and friends of Freddy Cordova of Alpine, who passed away on June 29, 2001, at the age of 54; and WHEREAS, A 1968 graduate of Alpine High School, Mr. Cordova was a great fan of the Bucks, the school's football team, and loved recalling his days as their manager; and WHEREAS, This beloved man was also an avid fisherman and a fixture at the Paisano Baptist Encampment, where he had served as a cook every summer for nearly three decades; and WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Freddy Cordova will remember his strength of character and his love of family and community; although he is greatly missed, his memory lives on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Freddy Cordova and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Esther Cordova; to his son, Freddy Cordova III; and to all who mourn the passing of this much-loved man; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Freddy Cordova.
