R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The family and friends of U.S. Army Private First Class Danny Lamar Anderson of Corpus Christi have suffered an immeasurable loss with his death on February 27, 2005, at the age of 29; and WHEREAS, Killed in the performance of his duties in Baghdad, Iraq, Private Anderson was a valued member of the 26th Forward Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Georgia; and WHEREAS, A native Texan and graduate of King High School, this brave young man enjoyed pool, music, mountain hiking, and working out; above all else, he was a devoted father to his sons and husband to his wife; and WHEREAS, Our state and nation are fortunate to have men and women whose love for their country inspires them to take up military service, yet the tragic death of this fine young man is a sobering reminder of the cost of war; Private First Class Anderson embodied the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces, and those who knew and loved him will forever carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of U.S. Army Private First Class Danny Lamar Anderson and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Moriama Luna Anderson; to his sons, Noah and Armando; to his father, Dennis L. Anderson; to his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Larry Brady; to his sisters, Pattie L. Kalas and her husband, Peter, and Vickie E. Morris and her husband, Jerry; to his brother, Michael F. Anderson; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army Private First Class Danny Lamar Anderson.
