H.R. No. 1188
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for
celebration, and on June 14, 2005, Willie and Faye Freeman of Tyler
are marking this special milestone in their long and happy
marriage; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman were married in Tyler on June
14, 1955; over the past five decades, they have been blessed with a
family that includes five children, Nona, Denise, Dean, Brian, and
Lisa; 11 grandchildren, Chris, Michael, Justin, Kathi, Michelle,
Charles, Kayla, Matthew, Derek, Dylan, and Misty; and a
great-granddaughter, Abbey; and
WHEREAS, Retired from a career with Carrier Air Conditioning,
Mr. Freeman enjoys farming and working with the Boy Scouts; Mrs.
Freeman's many diverse interests include genealogy, keeping
scrapbooks, and teaching her Bible class; and
WHEREAS, Active in their community, the Freemans helped to
found the Shiloh Road Church of Christ, where they remain valued
members, and also lend their time to the Smith County Historical
Society; and
WHEREAS, This devoted couple's commitment to each other is a
source of inspiration and joy to all those dear to them, and it is
indeed a pleasure to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th wedding anniversary of
Willie and Faye Freeman and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Freemans as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
