R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, April 3, 2005, marked the opening and dedication of
the new Presbyterian Hospital of Denton; and
WHEREAS, A $100 million facility, the hospital is the largest
private capital investment in Denton's history; located on 35 acres
adjacent to the Denton Community Hospital, the five-story complex
houses 161 private rooms, an all-private 28-bed emergency
department, nine large surgical suites, two cardiac
catheterization labs, three endoscopy suites, the latest digital
imaging system, as well as two medical office buildings and an
education and community meeting space; and
WHEREAS, Recognized in 2003 as the Best Medical Project in
the Metroplex by the Dallas Business Journal, the Presbyterian
Hospital of Denton is dedicated to providing the latest medical
innovations and technology to residents of North Texas, and this
important new addition to the community is sure to benefit
countless people for many years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the opening and dedication of the
Presbyterian Hospital of Denton and extend sincere best wishes to
all those associated with this fine new facility; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the hospital as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
