R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Omicron Gamma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta 
Sorority, Incorporated, is hosting its First Annual Buds of Royalty 
Blue Revue on April 24, 2004, in Houston; and
	WHEREAS, This exciting event will not only showcase and honor 
some of the Bayou City's most accomplished young ladies but also 
raise funds for the sorority's scholarship program; and
	WHEREAS, Selected for their academic skills, leadership 
abilities, and commitment to family and citizenship, this year's 
debutantes are LaToya Beaver, Ky'era Washington, and Skyla 
Williams; to prepare for the revue, the girls underwent training in 
etiquette, ballroom dancing, public speaking, and advertisement 
campaigning; and
	WHEREAS, These outstanding young role models are a source of 
great pride to their families, and their interest in furthering 
their personal growth and community involvement sets a high 
standard for those who will follow in their footsteps; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate LaToya Beaver, Ky'era Washington, 
and Skyla Williams as the inaugural honorees of the First Annual 
Buds of Royalty Blue Revue of Omicron Gamma Zeta and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued achievement; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the 2005 debutantes and Omicron Gamma Zeta as an 
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
