R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Arnulfo Vasquez of the Edgewood School District
Disciplinary Alternative Education Program has received the
Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching from Trinity University;
and
WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade is presented to educators
who inspire a love of learning in their students while
demonstrating dedication to their profession and their
communities; and
WHEREAS, The lead special education teacher for the program,
Mr. Vasquez has demonstrated a desire to keep abreast of current
educational theories and practices, and he is also known for using
technology to enhance his students' learning; and
WHEREAS, Since becoming an educator after his military
retirement 12 years ago, Arnulfo Vasquez has proven to be an
exemplary teacher who has made an immeasurable contribution to the
education of the youth of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Arnulfo Vasquez on his receipt of
the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching from Trinity
University and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
fulfillment with his important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Arnulfo Vasquez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
