R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times, loving
moments, and meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and
dear friends of Dorothy Buhler Crawford, who passed away on March
22, 2005, at the age of 80; and
WHEREAS, A native of Marfa, Mrs. Crawford received a
bachelor's degree from Sul Ross State University and was a beloved
teacher at El Paso's Milam and Logan Elementary Schools for more
than 20 years; and
WHEREAS, Married to James L. Crawford, this lovely lady
shared the joys and challenges of marriage and parenthood with him
for half a century until his passing; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Crawford generously served her fellow
congregants and the wider community through her membership at St.
Paul's United Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS, Although her presence is gone from us now, the
memory of her sweet nature and care for others will long be held in
the hearts of those fortunate to have shared her love and
friendship; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Dorothy Buhler
Crawford and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
to her children, Guy Moore Crawford, Rex Charles Crawford, Alan
Bruce Crawford, and Amy Sue Allison; to her grandchildren and
great-grandchild; and to the other relatives and many friends of
this beloved woman; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dorothy
Buhler Crawford.
