R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Our esteemed colleague, the Honorable Jim Keffer of Eastland, has been named president of the American Foundry Society; and WHEREAS, The American Foundry Society promotes information and services that strengthen the metal-casting industry and helps member companies effectively manage all production operations, profitably market their products, and equitably supervise their employees; and WHEREAS, Highly regarded by his peers in the industry, Representative Keffer has, since 1988, been president of EBAA Iron Sales, Inc., an iron foundry with plants in Eastland and Albany; the current vice president of AFS, he brings a wealth of experience to his new position, both as a businessman and as a leading member of numerous local and national organizations, including the Texas Cast Metals Association, the Texas Association of Business, the American Waterworks Association, and the 3M Brownwood Environmental Citizens Advisory Council; and WHEREAS, The American Foundry Society will benefit greatly from Representative Jim Keffer's knowledge and expertise, and it is a pleasure to honor our colleague as he accepts this new responsibility; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Representative Jim Keffer on being named president of the American Foundry Society and extend to him sincere best wishes for success and achievement in this new endeavor; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Representative Keffer as an expression of high regard by his fellow members in the Texas House of Representatives.
