H.R. No. 1339


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, December 31, 2004, marked the retirement of Karla Tate Doss as docket specialist with the U.S. District Clerk's Office for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, drawing to a close an outstanding career that lasted more than 19 years; and WHEREAS, Widely known as a dedicated employee who loved her job, Mrs. Doss earned the title "Docket Queen for the Eastern District of Texas" for her quick and steady work; and WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Doss has enjoyed the love and support of her husband of 41 years, John Edward Doss, as well as her daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Romey Simmons, granddaughter, Haley Simmons, son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Kay Doss, and grandchildren, Benjamin and Rachel Doss; retirement will undoubtedly afford her more time to spend with her family at their house on Caddo Lake as well as travel with her husband; and WHEREAS, For nearly 20 years, Mrs. Doss has served the U.S. District Clerk's Office with integrity and commitment, earning the lasting respect of all who have worked with her, and it is a pleasure to honor her for an exemplary tenure; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Karla Tate Doss on her retirement from the U.S. District Clerk's Office for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, and extend to her best wishes for future happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Doss as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
