H.R. No. 1345



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Members of the League City Chamber of Commerce are 
visiting the State Capitol on April 27, 2005, and their attendance 
provides a fitting opportunity to recognize the achievements of 
these outstanding civic leaders; and
	WHEREAS, Representing more than 600 local businesses, the 
chamber admirably pursues the goal of supporting the city through 
economic and community development programs, and it works 
diligently to promote the growth and advancement of the area; and
	WHEREAS, This notable organization has been a driving force 
in attracting and keeping businesses in the community and fostering 
job creation, encouraging road projects to meet local 
transportation needs, and promoting leadership development and 
networking opportunities, and its positive vision for the future is 
significantly enhancing the quality of life enjoyed by League City 
residents; and
	WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the League 
City Chamber of Commerce has been truly invaluable to the 
betterment of this Gulf Coast community, which has been voted one of 
America's best 100 small cities, and it is indeed a pleasure to 
honor the chamber at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend all those associated with the League 
City Chamber of Commerce for their dedicated service to their 
community and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
success with their important work; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
