H.R. No. 1348



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Buda Buddy Program, under the guidance of Buda 
Elementary School and the Hays Consolidated Independent School 
District, has grown in its first year to include more than 36 
mentors and 40 participants; and
	WHEREAS, This exceptional school program offers children the 
opportunity to gain self-esteem, discuss who they are or want to be, 
refine their social skills, and enhance academic performance; 
through an unwavering commitment and tireless efforts, the mentors 
and the pupils of the Buda Buddy Program are working to implement 
the program's motto:  "Making a difference that lasts a lifetime"; 
and
	WHEREAS, Setting young Texans on the path to a bright and 
rewarding future, the Buda Buddy Program indeed merits legislative 
recognition for its noteworthy efforts; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend the Buda Buddy Program at Buda 
Elementary School and extend to all the mentors and students  
warmest best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the program as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
