H.R. No. 1355


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Bobby R. Williams, Sr., is most deserving of our highest praise for his exemplary service in behalf of this country; and WHEREAS, A member of the 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Artillery Regiment, based out of Fort Hood, Sergeant Williams served with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he demonstrated steadfast courage and an unwavering commitment to his mission; and WHEREAS, This dedicated soldier is blessed with the support of a close-knit family, which includes his loving wife, Andrea, his four children, Bobby R. Williams, Jr., Leslie M. Williams, Byron A. Williams, and Ruthie D. Williams, and his granddaughter, Zora D. Williams-Reed; and WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to Sergeant Williams and to all of the country's military personnel, for they are called on to bear great, often unimaginable, burdens, and they render service and sacrifice that are truly beyond measure; and WHEREAS, Through his unfaltering devotion to duty, honor, and this nation, this valorous Texan embodies the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces, and it is indeed a privilege to join in recognizing his contributions at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby commend Sergeant First Class Bobby R. Williams, Sr., for his steadfast service during Operation Iraqi Freedom and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Sergeant Williams as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
