R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Family and friends mourn the passing of Rosario 
Parada of San Elizario who died on December 23, 2004, at the age of 
96; and
	WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of San Elizario and member of 
the San Elizario Catholic Church, Mrs. Parada was a beloved 
matriarch of a large and supportive family with whom she shared many 
happy times and cherished family memories; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Parada played a positive role in the lives of 
her loved ones, and while she is deeply missed, her spirit will be 
kept alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rosario Parada and 
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:  to her 
daughters, Bertha Ortega, Rosario Torres, and Teresita Garcia; to 
her sons, Reynaldo Parada, Ben Parada, Jr., and Abram Parada; to her 
13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and to her other 
relatives and friends; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rosario 
Parada.
