R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with many joyful times and 
meaningful accomplishments may help to comfort the family and 
friends of Margarita C. Godoy, who passed away on January 19, 2004, 
at the age of 87; and
	WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of San Elizario and a member of 
the Catholic Church, Mrs. Godoy was a kind and compassionate woman 
whose interest in helping others prompted her to spend her 
professional career as a nurse before her retirement; and
	WHEREAS, Happily married to Guadalupe Godoy until his 
passing, she became the devoted mother of four sons, and her beloved 
family grew to include 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren 
during her lifetime; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Margarita Godoy brightened 
the lives of countless people, who will long remember her with love 
and affection; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature pay tribute to the life of Margarita C. Godoy and extend 
sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her sons, Ruben, 
Arturo, and Ricardo Godoy; to her grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren; to her sister, Aurora Lira; and to her other 
relatives and friends; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Margarita 
C. Godoy.
