H.R. No. 1398
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Arvin and Betty Kilpatrick of Midland celebrated the
milestone of their 50th wedding anniversary on April 2, 2005, at a
special reception held at Bellview Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kilpatrick and the former Betty Crafton were
united in matrimony on March 29, 1955, in Lubbock, and have enjoyed
a marriage that has been blessed with two children, Lisa Crawford
and Audie Kilpatrick, and five grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, In 1972, Mr. Kilpatrick's job with the Department of
Public Safety brought the couple to Midland, where they are members
of the Bellview Baptist Church; Mr. Kilpatrick retired as captain
of motor vehicle theft after 35 years of service with DPS; and
WHEREAS, The enduring union of Arvin and Betty Kilpatrick is
a source of inspiration to those with whom they have shared the
richness of their lives, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in
honoring them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Arvin and Betty Kilpatrick on the
occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
best wishes for many more years of happiness together; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Kilpatricks as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
