H.R. No. 1428
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A group of students from Bernarda Jaime Junior High
School in San Diego, Texas, is visiting the State Capitol on April
29, 2005, to learn more about the government and history of the Lone
Star State; and
WHEREAS, With the 79th Legislative Session well underway, the
Capitol Complex is a source of great activity, offering visitors an
excellent opportunity to see their state government in action
firsthand; and
WHEREAS, This noteworthy assemblage of youngsters and their
sponsors will have a chance to tour the Capitol and learn the
fascinating history of this monument to freedom and democracy; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and
old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and
to gain insight into the workings of our state legislature, and it
is a pleasure to welcome these students and educators at this time;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby commend the visiting students and sponsors from
Bernarda Jaime Junior High School on their interest in state
government and extend to them sincere best wishes for an
informative and memorable visit to the Capitol.
