R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
rejoicing, and Henry Samuel and Fay Maurine Jacob of Goliad marked 
this special occasion in their long and happy marriage on April 25, 
2005; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Jacob and the former Fay Maurine Hoff were 
married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Kilgore community in 
Goliad County near Schroeder in 1935, and over the years they have 
watched their family grow to include two sons, Don and Bobby Jacob, 
three grandchildren, Barret and Kurt Jacob and Janet Jacob 
Tumlinson, and four great-grandchildren, Amber Kotzur, Jacob 
Tumlinson, and Jerrime and Crystal Jacob; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout their marriage, Mrs. Jacob has been a 
devoted mother, housewife, and helpmate while her husband has 
worked in commercial trucking and farmed and ranched; the couple 
continue to live and work on their Goliad County ranch today; and
	WHEREAS, The Jacobs' enduring union is a source of 
inspiration and joy to the family and friends with whom they have 
shared the richness of their lives, and they are most deserving of 
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Henry Samuel and Fay Maurine Jacob 
on the occasion of their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Jacob as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
