H.R. No. 1437


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wayne Weaver has distinguished himself as a Texan of great compassion and sincere dedication to the cause of animal rescue, and his efforts have earned him well-deserved recognition from the El Paso Area Chapter of the American Red Cross; and WHEREAS, Through his work with Chihuahuan Desert Wildlife Rescue, Mr. Weaver has saved or improved the lives of countless creatures, including pigs, rabbits, chickens, horses, ducks, geese, peacocks, llamas, emus, and reptiles; and WHEREAS, After rehabilitating these animals, often at the Coronado facility of FFA, Mr. Weaver takes further steps to secure them appropriate homes; and WHEREAS, In addition to his association with FFA, Mr. Weaver has worked closely with such institutions as the local animal regulation agency and municipal court to ensure the safety and well-being of his charges; and WHEREAS, Those citizens who give generously of their time and talent for the greater good indeed warrant our gratitude and admiration, and Wayne Weaver is truly one such individual; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby honor Wayne Weaver for his animal rescue efforts and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Weaver as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
