R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, University of Texas at El Paso senior defensive 
tackle Chris Mineo has been recognized for his sterling gridiron 
performance with a place on the 36th Rotary Lombardi Award watch 
list; and
	WHEREAS, One of only 54 candidates nationwide, Mr. Mineo was 
a first-team All-WAC selection last season in helping UTEP to an 8-4 
record and berth in the EV1.net Houston Bowl; this Odessa native 
contributed 50 tackles, 13 for losses, and eight sacks a year ago; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Mineo has demonstrated the dedication, skill, 
and physical stamina necessary to be one of the premier interior 
linemen in the country, and his achievements in the sport of 
football truly merit commendation; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Mineo for earning a spot on 
the prestigious 36th Rotary Lombardi Award watch list and extend to 
him best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Mineo as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
