R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, In just four years, Patricia Arellano of El Paso has 
achieved notable success as a media technology teacher at Montwood 
High School; and
	WHEREAS, After spending 20 years in a highly successful and 
competitive career in marketing, sales, installation, and 
implementation of high-end computer networks, Ms. Arellano pursued 
a lifelong dream that would make a difference in the lives of young 
people; and
	WHEREAS, Once she obtained her certification in media 
technology from Texas A&M University, adding to her existing 
credentials from The University of Texas at El Paso, Ms. Arellano 
joined the faculty of Montwood High School, where she teaches 
courses in career and technology education, trades and industry, 
and media technology for grades nine through 12; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed educator not only instructs her 
students about media applications and technology but also 
emphasizes values and ethics, including the importance of 
responsibility, respect, ambition, and perseverance; her unique 
approach to teaching has earned her lasting respect and admiration 
from her students, and numerous distinctions including Region 19 
Regional Teacher of the Year, Socorro Independent School District 
Teacher of the Year, Montwood High School Teacher of the Year, and 
an Excellence in Education Award from Ford Motor Company; and
	WHEREAS, Truly an inspiration to students and fellow 
teachers, Ms. Arellano merits special recognition for the 
contributions she is making in so many lives; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby honor Patricia Arellano for her commendable 
accomplishments as an educator and extend to her sincere best 
wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Arellano as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
