H.R. No. 1477
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Words cannot soften the sorrow of a life cut short,
and we join the loved ones of Jennifer Crystal Chavez of El Paso in
mourning her passing on December 20, 2004, at the age of 19; and
WHEREAS, A kind-hearted, generous woman, Ms. Chavez always
put others' needs before her own and was known for her beautiful
smile and gentle nature; and
WHEREAS, Her friends and family may take comfort in the many
wonderful memories of time spent in her company; she was a cherished
mother, daughter, and granddaughter and will be deeply missed by
all those who were privileged to know and love her; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jennifer Crystal
Chavez and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
her son, Devin; to her parents, Tury and Becky; to her grandparents,
Ramon and Micaela; to her sisters, Lorraine, Athena, and Rachel and
her husband, Juan; to her aunt, Lilly and her husband, Oscar; to her
nephew, Isaiha; to her niece, Nadya; to her great-grandmother,
Lupe; to her step-brother, Matt; and to her other relatives and many
friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jennifer
Crystal Chavez.
