R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The passing of Brenda Kaye York Butler, who died on
April 16, 2005, has deeply saddened her family and many friends; and
WHEREAS, Born in Uvalde and raised near Brackettville,
Mrs. Butler was a 23-year resident of Austin, where she was
employed by the Texas Workforce Commission; she graduated from
Brackettville High School, Angelo State University, and the Texas
Christian University Ranch School, and was a Kinney County
landowner proud of her ranching heritage; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Butler belonged to the Westlake United
Methodist Church and the Eastern Star; a caring and supportive wife
and mother, her greatest love was reserved for her husband and
children, who benefited greatly from her devotion; and
WHEREAS, Kaye Butler was truly a blessing in the lives of
many, and her memory will long be carried in the hearts of those
fortunate enough to have known her love and friendship; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Brenda Kaye York
Butler and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to
her husband, Robert Butler; to her son, Will Butler; to her
daughter, Leah Rose Butler; to her father, Joey York, Jr.; to her
brother, Bob York; to her brother-in-law, Philip Butler and his
wife, Katie; to her sisters-in-law, Linda Marek and her husband,
Don; Carol Watson and her husband, Kim; Betty Motal and her husband,
Leon; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brenda Kaye
York Butler.
