                                                                  H.R. No. 1498



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times, loving 
moments, and meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and 
friends of James Alexander Lyell of Plano, who passed away on April 
7, 2005, at the age of 87; and
	WHEREAS, A devoted husband, caring father, and doting 
grandfather, Mr. Lyell retired from Arco in 1983; and
	WHEREAS, Jim Lyell positively influenced those individuals 
who were fortunate enough to have known him, filling their lives 
with many happy times and fond memories, and he will be deeply 
missed; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Alexander "Jim" 
Lyell and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to 
his wife of 57 years, Frances; to his son, Mike Lyell and his wife, 
Darlene; to his granddaughters, Michelle and Ashley; to his nieces 
and nephews; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James 
Alexander Lyell.
