H.R. No. 1501
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends deeply mourn the passing of
Eduardo Martinez, who died on April 19, 2005, at the age of 54, and
seek to still the pain of loss by remembering his love; and
WHEREAS, A longtime Clint resident, Mr. Martinez served with
distinction in the U.S. Army, and he worked in the pest control
industry for 25 years; and
WHEREAS, This caring husband and father played a significant
role in the lives of his loved ones, and while he is deeply missed,
his memory will be kept alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Eduardo Martinez and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
Estela P. Martinez; to his sons, Joe Portillo and Manuel Martinez;
to his daughter, Estela Garcia; to his brother, Ernesto Martinez;
to his sister, Laura Martinez; to his grandchildren, Angel, Joe
Jr., Dolores, Homey, Jonathan, and Sabrina; and to his other
relatives and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eduardo
Martinez.
