R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On May 11, 2005, the Consul General of Israel to the 
Southwest, the Honorable Yael Ravia-Zadok, and Ron Ravia are 
hosting "A Mosaic of Israeli Music" to commemorate the 57th 
observance of Yom Ha-Atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day; and
	WHEREAS, Typically celebrated on the fifth day of the Jewish 
month Iyar, Yom Ha-Atzmaut annually recognizes the anniversary of 
the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948; it immediately 
follows Yom Hazikaron, the memorial day for those soldiers who gave 
their lives to bring about the country's existence; and
	WHEREAS, By presenting "A Mosaic of Israeli Music," the 
program's hosts are providing an opportunity for participants to 
experience a part of the rich Jewish heritage, which includes 
important contributions to the arts; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature hereby commend those individuals associated with "A 
Mosaic of Israeli Music" for honoring their cultural heritage on 
the occasion of the 57th anniversary of Israel's Independence Day 
and extend to all those who attend sincere best wishes for a 
memorable evening; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Consul General and Mr. Ravia as an expression of 
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
