R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Roosevelt and Thelma Triplett of Quitman attained a notable milestone in their long and happy marriage this year, as 2005 marks the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary; and WHEREAS, Since their marriage in 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Triplett have been blessed with a loving family who honored them at a special reception held at the Quitman Library on April 9, 2005; hosted by their children and their spouses, Cynthia and Eric White, Terry Triplett, Kathy and Tony Wofford, Kelly and Darron Burkley, and Diane and Willie Henry, the anniversary celebration was also attended by many close friends; and WHEREAS, Throughout the five decades of their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Triplett have nurtured a strong bond of mutual love, respect, and admiration, and their devotion to one another remains a source of joy and inspiration to the family and friends with whom they have shared their lives; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Roosevelt and Thelma Triplett on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Triplett as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
